From 1953-2013 Tom Goode (SNR) started as a blacksmith and a farrier. He progressed into making trailers and machinery. Tom carried out repairs in 80s helped by his 6 sons at different points throughout the years. Cormac Goode (Founder of Cormak Engineering) grew up with him as a child and started learning to weld as a teen and progressed with him and his father.

In 2020 Cormac started his apprenticeship in fabrication and welding. When he qualified he started Cormak Engineering with the help of his family and began to pick up what his grandfather had started and grow his own designs for agricultural machinery.
